A helping hand for franchise lead generation
June 2, 2011Franchisor Advice Article:
“It’s vital that you are exploring every avenue possible to find and convert those hot leads that make the best franchisees”, explains Sarah Cook, Founding Partner of Coconut Creatives, the franchise industries dedicated franchise recruitment marketing company.
As well as attending shows and exploring the more traditional recruitment routes, there may be avenues for ‘lead gen’ right under your nose that won’t cost you money and provide a great source of quality leads – other franchisors.
In your own prospect database there will be enquiries from people who just don’t suit your franchise. These same people are probably still looking for another opportunity that seems more suited to them and you. As a franchisor, you may know another franchise that could be just the right thing. Think about other franchisors you like and trust and discuss trialling this type of project together.
Remember to always stay legal with data protection, so only recommend another franchise to those prospects that are happy to receive such information. You can start this process on the phone when you call them about your own business opportunity and if you quickly establish they are not right for you, then recommend another franchise to them and ask if it’s ok for the franchisor to give them a call. They will be grateful for your help.
What goes around comes around as they say. So it will only be a matter of time before you get a call from a neighbouring franchisor that has a new hot prepped lead for you in return.
If you would like more hints and tips on franchise recruitment, enquire about a Coconut Creatives forthcoming Franchisor Marketing Workshop. Each delegate gets individual expert feedback on franchise recruitment marketing, advertising, PR, branding and design.
