Providing your franchisees with all the support they need to grow and build successful, profitable businesses will not only benefit them, it will benefit your network as a whole. Franchisees will look favourably on a third party. It shows your franchisees that you’re investing in their success and growth and it’s just another way to build trust between you. Although this method might be costly in the short-term, it will help you to increase the success of your network and, therefore, profits! If all of your franchisees are singing from the same hymn sheet, you’re much more likely to be successful. Training will benefit your whole network and, a more successful network means it’s much easier to recruit new franchisees!
A buddy system
If you’re looking for a lower cost training exercise, why not try partnering your franchisees together in a buddy system? Franchisees on are the ground on a daily basis so they know exactly what does and doesn’t work in their territory and with their customers. If you partner older, more experienced franchisees with newbies, they can both learn from each other. They will bounce ideas off each other and hopefully come up with some great ideas for business growth together. Buddy systems are a great way to encourage your franchisees to work together in order to build a stronger network. Franchisees who are prepared to help each other are much more likely to perform better collectively.
Dedicated field support
Another way to support your franchisees is to employ someone dedicated to assisting them with growth. Having someone on the ground with them who can come out to assist and review growth regularly will help franchisees to stay on track and keep them motivated. Having a dedicated team member who can regularly visit franchisees to set and track goals will help franchisees to feel more supported and as though you are fully invested in their success.
